The 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE represented the most refined six-cylinder variant of the W108 series, using injection technology instead of carburetors. This vehicle is powered by the M130 E28 engine, a 2778 cm3 Bosch Mechanical Injection Gasoline unit, which produces 160 hp / 158 hp/ 117.5 kW at 5500 rpm and a torque of 240 Nm at 4250 rpm. Thanks to the injection, this model offers significantly higher performance and a faster engine response compared to the “S” version. Equipped with 4-speed manual gearbox , the 280 SE achieves a top speed of 190 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds , combining the elegance of the W108 chassis with a superior motor engineering for the time.
