The 1970 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL represented the pinnacle of German elegance in an extended format (lang), offering maximum passenger space without sacrificing mechanical control. This model is powered by the M130 E28 engine, a 2778 cm3 Bosch Mechanical Injection Gasoline unit, which produces 170 hp / 168 HP / 125 kW at 5750 rpm and a 240 Nm Torque at 4500 rpm. Although with a slightly smaller cylinder than the predecessor M189, this engine was more modern and easier to maintain. Equipped with 4-speed manual gearbox and legendary pneumatic (airborne) suspension as standard equipment, the 300 SEL achieves a top speed of 195 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds , remaining one of the fastest and most refined limousines of its era.
