Summary

The ML 350 was the base model of the M-Class (W164) series in North America and the only one available in the two-wheel drive (RWD) version, which made it lighter (2101 kg) and slightly more economical than the 4MATIC models. The V6 M272 engine, while powerful, has had known reliability concerns, particularly problems associated with the balance shaft and 7G-Tronic transmission conductor plate.
