Summary

This updated version of the ML 350 CDI DPF (with 231 HP and 540 Nm) replaced the previous model with 224 HP and was predestined to meet the Euro 5 emissions standard without the need for the AdBlue system. Due to its high rotational power and fast acceleration, this was a very popular variant in Europe. However, like all OM642 engines, it is prone to problems with oil cooler seals leaks, defects in the EGR/EKAS valve, and problems with the turbo actuator (Ladedrucksteller).
