Summary

The Mercedes-Benz ML 500 (V8 5.5L M273 Gasoline) was the last most powerful version of the ML W164 series before the AMG models, intended primarily for the European market. This large atmospheric engine produces excellent power and speed (0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds), accompanied by a classic V8 sound. However, the cost of operation is extremely high, with an average consumption of about 18.5 L/100km. Like the M272 engine, the M273 can suffer from balance shaft failure (in early-produced models) and intake manifold problems.
